Advent is a time for looking forward, to the coming of Jesus, and to our Christmas celebrations. It’s not only about the waiting that culminated in events in a Bethlehem stable 2000 years ago, but about now – and how Jesus coming into our world shapes our now.

Remember the words from the carol: O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray, cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today.

We often talk of hope and peace, joy and love as we light the advent candles. This advent in our ADVENTure2022, I want to explore those things – HOPE, PEACE, JOY, LOVE. I want us to go on an adventure – not to some mountain top, or far away country – but an inner adventure, examining and exploring our own lives. Are you up for that adventure?

The ADVENTure begins on Sunday, the 27th of November advent Sunday when we light the first candle – a candle for Hope. I hope that many will share in ADVENTure2022. Every day at 4 pm, there will be video available to watch – it may be live or may have been pre-recorded – and each evening the audio only podcast will be available.

Join me every day during advent for a live stream (sometimes it may be prerecorded) – each will be around 15 to 20 minutes – and will also be available to view later, and also on audio podcast – to listen to whenever and wherever suits you. We will be exploring together, what it means to live life to the full. There will be chat, thoughts, ideas, music, different activities, things to think about, and some fantastic guests, bringing their stories, wisdom and insights – and some ideas for Christmas gifts!

There is also an OPTIONAL Private FACEBOOK GROUP: ‘Adventure of Life & Faith’ where members can share in discussion as we journey thru’ the Advent ADVENTure together.
