Do you remember back in chapter 3 John the Baptist had something to say to the tax collectors? Here Jesus meets one of them… little Zacchaeus who climbed the sycamore tree so that he could see Jesus. He got more than the glimpse he hoped for… Jesus invited himself round to tea and Zac’s house… and Zac’s life was transformed. He had encountered Jesus and life would never be the same again…

O holy Child of Bethlehem

Descend to us, we pray

Cast out our sin and enter in

Be born to us today

We hear the Christmas angels

The great glad tidings tell

O come to us, abide with us

Our Lord Emmanuel
