Funerals

Funerals

During the Covid19 preventative measures unfortunately it is only possible for immediate family to attend a funeral service with a maximum of 20 people attending

Meeting with family groups to arrange a funeral service must be limited to the Scottish Government restriction of 8 people from 3 households or 15 people from 5 households. It will also be possible for Rev Donald to meet with families via Facetime, Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom or FaceBook messenger.

Those attending the funeral service must be restricted to immediate family and whether indoors or outdoors the maximum number is restricted to 20 (Scottish Government requirement: https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-what-you-can-and-cannot-do/pages/gatherings-and-occasions/)

Rev Donald will discuss with families other options to include wider family and circle of friends and community. Audio recordings of graveside services, Recorded video tributes are among the possibilities. A later service of Thanksgiving will also be possible after restrictions are lifted.
