Read Luke Chapter 14 (you can use a Bible you have, or follow the link)

Jesus invites us to follow him in the adventure of life and faith. Many different images of inclusion are used… a family… a flock… and here we are welcomed to share in the feast. Again we come to the theme of truth spoken to power… When the the great and the good, the powerful show up they want the best seats and end up without them… and when they don’t show up, it’s the outsiders, the poor the crippled, the blind and the lame (v21) who are welcomed at the table.

Whoever others reckon you to be, whatever you think of your own worth – God loves you and invites you to share the feast he has prepared.
